We are excited to announce that AMA Designs & Interiors, an award-winning interior design studio, is now located in Little Falls, New Jersey!

We will miss our start-up location in Caldwell, NJ, which was within a real estate office, and the friendships we have developed over the years from working there. As our business expanded and our team grew, it was time to open up a studio to support our needs and service our Clients.

WHAT TOWNS DO WE SERVICE?

Our new interior design studio is located in the heart of town —on Main Street in Little Falls, NJ. AMA Designs & Interiors services the Little Falls, NJ area and neighboring towns such as Montclair, Cedar Grove, North Caldwell, Caldwell, Verona, and Essex Fells. We provide Full-Service Interior Design services throughout Essex County, Bergen County, Morris County, and Passaic County. We also design homes nationally through our Virtual Design Service.

WHY RELOCATE TO LITTLE FALLS?

Little Falls has a special place in my heart for several reasons. This is the town where my Husband and I are raising our family. It is also the town where we both volunteer and give back to the community. My husband has been a local Little Falls fireman for 14 years to the present day.

Little Falls is also the town where I started to lay down roots in my business. Early in my career, my first large commercial design project was the Little Falls Great Notch Co. 4 Firehouse in 2014. This project has awarded me many press features and interviews which helped kickstart my business locally. From that project, I landed my next commercial project to redesign the Century 21 Cedarcrest Reality location in town. From those early beginnings, AMA Designs & Interiors has continued to flourish and has been featured in national press.

AMA Designs & Interiors is an interior design firm specializing in Full-Service Interior Design for residential and commercial projects throughout Bergen County, Essex County, Morris County, and Nationwide. Our services include, but aren’t limited to, New Construction, Single Family-Home Designs, Kitchen Remodeling, Bathroom Remodeling, Full-Home Renovations, Historic Renovations, Multi-family projects, Restaurant Design, and Office Design.

With a decade of industry experience, Amanda specializes in designing interiors that promote happiness and well-being. With certifications in Design Psychology and Feng Shui, her design technique seamlessly integrates intentionality, functionality, and the Client’s personality to elevate their living space and headspace. Her design approach transcends ordinary change by delivering transformational experiences through her signature four-step process that leads to exceptional designs, 5-star testimonials, and repeat Clients.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN INTERIOR DESIGNER AND A DECORATOR?

While some responsibilities overlap, the primary difference between a Professionally trained Interior Designer and a Decorator is that Designers consider relocating walls to improve spatial layouts and work on large-scale projects such as New Construction, Home Remodeling, and other Home Renovations. Decorators will adorn the space with decorative finishes and furnishings. Another significant difference is that Interior Designers are formally trained with Certifications, Degrees, and CEU requirements through organizations, whereas Decorators do not have formal training.

An analogy used in the industry to describe the key difference is if you filled a doll house with furnishings and decorative items, then flipped the house upside down — the decorative items that fall out are what a Decorator handles, and what’s left is by the Interior Designer.
